There is much to like about Free Pascal (a.k.a. FPK Pascal): the fact that it is available for multiple processor architectures and operating systems, the fact that it is free, the fact that it is a properly good compiler, and the fact that it has lots of history behind it. You’re very well advised to get it if you need a free Pascal and Object Pascal compiler.

As mentioned above, Free Pascal provides support for multiple CPU architectures and operating systems:
ARM – Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, Linux, Windows CE.
Intel/i386 – DOS, FreeBSD, Linux, MAC OS X, Haiku, OS/2, Solaris, Win32, Win64, and WinCE.
PowerPC – Linux, Mac OS X, Nintendo Wii.
PowerPC64 – Linux, Mac OS X.
SPARC – Linux, Solaris.
AMD64/x86_64 – FreeBSD, Linux, Windows 64-bit.

You can download Free Pascal and use it on any of the architectures and operating systems presented above.
You can also download the source code for Free Pascal.
Documentation for Free Pascal is also available for download.

The wizard that will guide you through installing Free Pascal on a 32-bit Windows version will ask you to choose between a Full, a Minimum, and a Custom installation. The Custom one allows you to pick and choose the following: basic system, GNU linker and assembler, PDF documentation, integrated development environment, Free Pascal utilities, GNU make, demos, GNU debugger, units, and examples. The wizard will also invite you to set up file associations – associate Free Pascal with PP, INC, PAS, and DPR files.

Go get Free Pascal and you will get a properly good, free, versatile Pascal and Object Pascal compiler.

Pros

Free Pascal supports multiple CPU architectures and multiple operating systems. This is a properly good compiler. Free Pascal, as the name points out, is free.

Cons

None that I could think of.
